First Hockey Game of the Season....

I watched an awesome game of hockey tonight, Maddies team may not have won but they sure had fun and really that is what it is all about.

Gymnastics......

Gymnastics......that is what she is thinking about, that is what she is always thinking about.  I see the bottoms of Maddie's feet more than the top of her head, she is either doing cartwheels down the hall or hand stands in the kitchen, she has found her passion and that makes me very happy.

A dear friend of mine said her farewell to her brother today, although it was so sad, it was probably one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever been to,  this young man touched so many people and so profoundly.I will never forget the RCMP Honour Guard at the grave site, the lone Trumpeter played as the guards saluted, the afternoon sun falling on their Red Serge it was truly a beautiful farewell.

Nice and Cozy....

 Lexi loves a morning snuggle, and jumps at the chance to drag everyone in bed with her in her words "come sissy, come and get nice and cozy".

It used to be one of my favorite things to do at school, before the morning bell rang, recess, lunch......funny how now when it makes my head spin, grrrr another perk of getting old.

Oh boy, Lexi got a new helmet today, and she couldn't wait to help Daddy adjust it!

Oh yes she is full of attitude, she wanted to wear her sunglasses to gymnastics today, and no the sun was no where to be seen.....what a kid!

Picture Day.....

 Maddie wanted her hair curled for picture day.......we will have to wait and see how it held up until she actually got her picture taken.  As you can tell she loved the curls, and I agree!

I want to drive my bike......

"I want to drive my bike" that pretty much sums up what I hear all day, on Sunday Lexi started driving Maddies old two wheel bike and today she asked me to take the training wheels off.....not happening, but she actually has great balance and can maneuver that bike through the chalk roads Maddie has drawn for her with confidence and in my opinion too much speed.  Keep cruising Darling!
